Reeve Kutzan called the meeting to order at 10:00 am

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held January 27, 2010 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the agenda be adopted as amended. Carried

Be It Resolved that we adjourn until completion of the public hearing for a variance. Carried

Be It Resolved that the following application for a variance located at SW 18-24-24W is hereby approved by Council of the RM of Grandview and that an order will be issued to this effect attached here as exhibit A. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview cost share 50/50 with the Town of Grandview an ad being placed in the travel guide for the Parkland Region for the year 2010 with our share being $494.00. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview Council accepts K-line’s proposal of $40% o f costs associated with gravelling of roads – proposal attached. Carried
General Business

Be It Resolved that work projects dated for February 10, 2010 are hereby approved. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview purchase a cemetery program for the cost of $500.00 approx.

And Further Be It Resolved that maps of the cemeteries to be on displayed at the cemetery be purchased through Repromap for the cost of approx. $1000.00. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview provide the GP-GV Agricultural Society funding in the amount of $1000.00 for the year 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview accepts the unaudited financial statement ending October 31, 2009. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview provide the Watson Crossley Community Museum funding in the amount of $3000.00 for the year 2010. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview enter a curling rink in the municipal bonspiel being held in Winnipegosis February 23, 2010. Carried

Be It Resolved that the following levy and budget for the year 2010 $3378.00 for the Roblin & District Veterinary Services is hereby approved. Carried

Be It Resolved that the following levy and budget for the year 2010 - $5004.80 for the Parkland Regional Library is hereby approved.. Carried

Be It Resolved that Sharon Storozuk-CAO attend a seminar on principles of health and safety being held in Brandon March 8, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that all expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

EMO – Seminar – Holland – table to next meeting

Whereas the RM of Grandview have received 3 proposals for municipal audit services;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview accepts the proposal of Sensus for $5890.00 plus taxes for the year 2010 with option for renewal for future years. Carried

Be It Resolved that David Kozakowski attend a water and wastewater course being held in Swan River February 5, 12, 19, 26 and March 5, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that all expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview borrow funds from the Utility Reserve for general operating purposes as the need arises;

And Further Be It Resolved that the borrowed money will be paid back with interest in the same year. Carried

Machine rental complaint reviewed.

By-laws

Be It Resolved that the by-law no. 3-2010 (Cemetery Wages) be given third reading and passed. Recorded Vote: For – Cliff Kutzan,Nick Fiarchuk, Jack Squance, Wayne Banting

Unused road allowances – Conservation completing a map for us by Feb. 22, 2010.

Prize to be donated for the fundraising event being held on Feb. 20, 2010.
