Reeve Fiarchuk called the meeting to order at 10:00 am

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held January 13, 2010, special meetings held January 15 and 18, 2010 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the agenda be adopted as amended. Carried

Delegation: 10:15am – Hudson Bay Route – Bruce Dodds – presented a presentation on revitalizing the Hudson Bay Route Association and what it stands for.

General Business

Whereas the RM of Grandview interviewed three individuals for the janitorial position;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the position be offered to Brenda Martin;

Further Be It Resolved that upon acceptance the job will commence February 1, 2010 with a wage of $10.50 per hour. Carried

Whereas the RM of Grandview has received three tenders, for the 1995 bush hog mower-model 3610-PTO-1000 as advertised;

Therefore Be It Resolved we accept the tender from Jeff Elliott for the price of $2055.00. Carried

Whereas the RM of Grandview has received six tenders for the 1978 Fruehauf trailer as advertised;

Therefore Be It Resolved we accept the tender from Ivan Lukey fro the price of $9300.00 Carried.

Whereas two quotes were received for a new fire truck;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the new fire truck be purchase through Fort Garry Fire Trucks of Winnipeg for the purchase price of $226131.00 plus GST. Carried

Be It Resolved that the office staff attends an election seminar being held in Dauphin March 19, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that all expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resoled that the Rural Municipality of Grandview designate the year 2009 for the purpose of tax sale procedures;

And Further Be It Resolved that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview agree to charge a $50.00 administrative fee to be added to each parcel of land for tax sale in the year 2010. Carried

Be It Resolved that the members of Council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview be appointed as members of the Board of Revision fro the municipality for the year 2010. Carried

Be It Resoled that the RM of Grandview advertise in the Royal Canadian Legion MB/NW Ontario Command “Military Service Recognition Book” which recognizes and honor many of our brave veterans. Carried

Be It Resolved that the following memberships for 2010 be paid as listed;
1) MMAA-(Storozuk & Cockerill) – 3380.00
2) MB. Good Road Assoc. - $130.00
3) Parks Route. Inc. - $200.00

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview fund the Senior Park in the amount of $100.00 for the year 2010. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview buy promotional matches for the 2010 homecoming;

And Further Be IT Resolved that the costs be shared 50/50 with the Town of Grandview. Carried

Be It Resolved that the by-law no. 1-2010 (Office Wages) be given third reading and passed.
