Reeve Kutzan called the meeting to order at 10:00 am

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held March 10 and special meetings held March 12 & 22, 2010 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the agenda be adopted as amended. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview sign the terms of engagement letter form Sensus dated February 11, 2010 to audit the consolidated financial statements for the year 2009. Carried

General Business

Be It Resolved that culverts be purchased through Canada Culvert for the year 2010. Carried

Whereas the RM of Grandview purchased a trailer from Loewen Trailers Sales & Services for the price of $3000.00 plus taxes;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the said purchase be funded through the machinery replacement reserve fund. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview purchase safety equipment for the shop;

And Further Be It Resolved that said purchases be funded through the shop reserve as listed as attached. Carried

Whereas the RM of Grandview have received the 2009 Annual Audit for the RM of Grandview Sugarloaf-Public Water System from the Office of Drinking Water;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview hereby accepts said audit. Carried

Whereas the RM of Grandview is in agreement of a youth program in the community of Grandview together with the Gilbert Plains Recreation Commission and Mountainview School Division;

And Whereas this youth program will provide healthy and positive lifestyles and make a positive difference in their lives;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview Council supports the Grandview & District Recreation Commission in their efforts for funding for this project. Carried

Be It Resolved that the maint. staff attend a surveying course offered by the Water Stewardship surveyors being held in Dauphin the end of April beginning of May 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that expense be paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview accepts the 2009 audit statement from the Parkland Regional Library. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview funds the Dauphin Airport in the amount of $1599.55 for the year 2010. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview authorizes online services for the purposes of viewing only for the following accounts : Fire Reserve and Health Reserve. Carried

Be It Resolved that the Council of the RM of Grandview and CAO attend the Municipal Official Seminar being held in Brandon on April 14 & 15, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that the expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Tax sharing – recommendations review by committee-table to next mtg.

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview fund the Farm Safety Day Camp being held in Roblin for students in grade 5 and 6 June 2, 2010 in the amount of $200.00 Carried

Be It Resolved that David Kozakowski attend a confined space workshop being sponsored by the MWWA in Brandon April 6, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resolved that the CAO attend a seminar in Winnipeg on understanding labour and employment law being held April 16, 2010;

And Further Be It Resolved that the expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview general insurance policy under Hayhurst Elias Dudek be renewed for the 12 month period April 1, 2010 to April 1, 2011 at a cost of $19496.00;

And Further Be It Resolved that the community organizations carrying insurance coverage under the Municipality Policy be billed for their respective premium costs. Carried

Financial Plan – was reviewed.

By-laws

Be It Resolved that by-law no. 6-201 be given first reading. Carried

Be It Resolved that by-law no. 6-2010 be given second reading. Carried

Unfinished Business

Be It Resolved that we do now go in camera to discuss items as per the Municipal Act 152 (3). Carried

Be It Resolved that we return to our regular meeting. Carried

Be It Resolved that we now adjourn at 12:50pm. Carried
