Reeve Kutzan called the meeting to order at 9:00 am

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held April 7, 2010 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the Special Meetings of Council of the Rural Municipal of Grandview held April 8 & 9, 2010 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the agenda as prepared by the CAO be and is hereby adopted as amended. Carried

General Business

Request for meter change – 1” meter to 5/8”

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview order a quantity of 2000 pens from Amsterdam Products at a cost of .59 each plus taxes and delivery. Carried

Whereas Section 365(2) of the Municipal Act provides that Council may in any year designate the immediately preceding year, or any earlier year, as the year for which properties, the taxes in respect of which are in arrears for the year, must be offered for sale by auction to recover the tax arrears and costs;

Be It Resolved That the Designated Year for which properties in arrears be offered for sale by auction is 2009; and

Be It Further Resolved that in accordance with s.363(1) of the Municipal Act, “costs” shall be the actual costs payable by the municipality for each parcel listed for the 2010 tax sale plus administration fees of $50.00 as set forth in Regulation 50/97; and

Be It Further Resolved that the 2010 Tax Sale be held November 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the RM of Grandview Council Chambers. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview hereby renew membership with Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve for the 2010 year in the amount of $200.00 Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview hereby renew corporate membership with the Watson Crossley Community Museum for the 2010 year in the amount of $50.00. Carried

Review of security at water plant.

Be It Resolved that we do now go in camera to discuss items as per the Municipal Act 152(3). Carried

Be It Resolved that we return to our regular meeting. Carried

Financial plan was reviewed.

Whereas according to Subsection 162(2) of the Municipal Act a council is required to hold a public hearing before adopting the financial plan;

And Whereas the financial plan public hearing date was set of April 29, 2010 at 7:00pm in the Rural Municipal Office;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the financial plan public hearing date be changed to May 12, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Rural Municipality Office at 531 Main Street in Grandview. Carried

Be It Resolved a special meeting be held April 29, 2010 to review financial plan. Carried

Unfinished Business

Whereas the RM of Grandview has entered into an agreement with the Intermountain Conservation District No. 9 as a Conservation Corridor Agreement;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview execute such agreement as attached. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview accept the conservation corridor sign proof as provided. Carried

Tax sharing recommendations – table to next meeting

Undeveloped road allowances – farming/renting – need more information.

Be It Resolved that we now adjourn.-12:30pm. Carried
