Reeve Kutzan called the meeting to order at 9:00 am

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held August 26, 2009 be adopted as circulated/read. Carried

Be It Resolved that the agenda be adopted as amended. Carried

General Business

Be It Resolved that work projects dated September 9, 2009 are hereby approved. Carried

Discussion took place on fire truck and recreation facilities.

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview pursues the purchase of buying a new fire truck pending approval of a borrowing by-law. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview provides funding in the amount of $200.00 toward the Provincial “A” volleyball Championships being held in Grandview November 26-28, 2009. Carried

Be It Resolved that we do go in camera to discuss personnel issues as per the Municipal Act 152(3). Carried

Be It Resolved that we now close the in camera session and return to our regular session. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview cost share with the Town of Grandview to carry out works of disposing of cement contained on SE 8-25-23. Carried

Sugarloaf pipeline – citizens inquiring about hook ups.

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview authorizes the use of the office 531 Main Street to the Grandview Nursery School as a safe house in the event of an evacuation of the Grandview K-12 School. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM Office Staff attend the MMAA Fall District meeting being held in Makinak September 18, 2009 with all expenses being paid by the municipality. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM Office Staff attend a seminar sponsored by MMAA September 25, 2009 being held in Brandon with all expenses being paid by the municipality. Carried

Whereas the RM/Town of Grandview Emergency Plan was adopted by resolution of council in 2005;

And Whereas it is a requirement that said plan be updated on an annual basis;

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Emergency Plan for the RM/Town of Grandview has been updated as required and is hereby approved by Council of the RM of Grandview for the 2009 year. Carried

Be It Resolved that the EMO Co-ordinator Laureen Duncan attend the Disaster Management Conference being held in Brandon – November 4-6, 2009 with all expenses being paid by the four sponsoring municipalities as per agreement. Carried

Be It Resolved that the RM Council and CAO attend the 11th Annual Convention being held in Brandon November 23 to 26;

And Further Be It Resolved that all expenses be paid by the municipality. Carried

Whereas Cliff Kutzan has resigned from the Grandview & District Recreation Commission;

And Whereas the RM of Grandview needs council representation on the board;

Therefore Be It Resolved that Councillor Vern Nelson be appointed as the RM representative to the Grandview & District Recreation Commission commencing September 9, 2009. Carried
