THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF GRANDVIEW

Reeve Kutzan called the meeting to order at 9:00 am
Be It Resolved that the minutes of the last regular meeting of council
of the Rural Municipality of Grandview held September 23, 2009 be adopted
as circulated/read. Carried
Be It Resolved that the agenda be adopted as amended. Carried

Councillor Squance – Sept. 19 – Intermtn. –Water Festival

General Business
Be It Resolved that work projects dated October 14, 2009 are hereby
approved. Carried
Be It Resolved that the second regular meeting of council October 28,
2009 be held on October 27, 2009. Carried
Be It Resolved that the first regular meeting of council November 11,
2009 be held on November 18, 2009. Carried
Be It Resolved that the council meeting of November 25, 2009 is hereby
cancelled due to the annual AMM Convention being held November 23-26,
2009. Carried
Be It Resolved that Kim Cockerill attend a tutorial in conjunction with
the Municipal Administration course being held at the U of M December
4, 2009;
And Further Be It Resolved that all expenses be paid by the municipality.

Whereas Gail Widenmaier has resigned from her position as janitor for
the RM/Town of Grandview as of October 23, 2009;
Therefore Be It Resolved that the said position be advertised. Carried
Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview cancel the airport insurance
for the following year 2010 through AON Insurance. Carried
Be It Resolved that CAO Storozuk attend a MEBP seminar being held in
Dauphin October 15, 2009 with expenses being paid by the municipality.

Whereas a Grandview Homecoming Committee for 2010 has been established;
And Whereas this committee has requested funding from the RM of Grandview;
Therefore Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview fund the Grandview
2010 Homecoming Committee $2500.00 through VLT revenues received and
plus half of photo copying brochures. Carried
Whereas the Mountain View School Division is hosting a meeting with
municipal councils to discuss issues of mutual interest and concerns;
Therefore Be It Resolved that one member of Council attend the meeting
being held November 2, 2009 in the Mountain View School Division office
with expenses being paid by the municipality. Carried
Whereas the Grandview & District Recreation Commission has applied
for funding through the Recreation Infrastructure Canada (RInC);
Therefore Be It Resolved that the Council of the Rural Municipality
of Grandview write a letter supporting this infrastructure application.

Be It Resolved that the RM of Grandview fund the Tamarisk Community
Hall 1 $1000.00 through the VLT revenue. Carried
Be It Resolved that the Cemetery Caretaker will be laid off as of October
31, 2009. Carried
