Ottawa School

Legal Description: SW 22-24-24

Inscription:
The pioneers of the Ottawa School District chose SW 22-24-25 as the site of their school in 1897. The original school was destroyed by fire in 1938 and the new school was erected.

In 1967 the school was closed due to consolidation within the Intermountain School Division No. 36. This cairn has been built in commermoration of the students, teachers and citizens who served the district and community.

The Ottawa School was relocated to the Town of Grandview as part of the " Watson Crossley Museum Complex" and today houses the Tourist Information Centre.
